Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions
What services do you offer?
I provide in-home strength training, personal training, and cash-based physical therapy services. Each session is individualized based on your goals, movement patterns, and needs.
How is this different from a traditional gym or clinic?
Sessions are fully personalized and delivered in a one-on-one setting. There’s no crowded gym environment, and every program is designed specifically for you with a focus on movement quality, strength, and long-term progress.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions are mobile and can take place in your home, your apartment or condo gym, or another agreed-upon location in the Portland area. Friendly House in NW allows patrons to bring a trainer for free! Most big-box gyms (LA Fitness, 24hr) will not allow you to bring your own trainer/therapist.
Physical Therapy vs. Strength Training
Do I need physical therapy or personal training?
If you are dealing with pain, injury, or recovering from surgery, physical therapy may be appropriate. If your goal is to build strength, improve fitness, or maintain performance, personal training may be a better fit. If you’re unsure, we can discuss your situation and determine the best option for you.
Can I do both physical therapy and strength training?
Yes. Many clients transition from physical therapy into strength training or combine both approaches depending on their needs.
Do you accept insurance?
Physical therapy services can be billed through insurance via Luna PT, which takes most policies. See “Physical Therapy” page for details. Strength training and direct-pay PT services are paid out of pocket.

What is your cancellation policy?
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee if it becomes a recurring issue.
How do payments work?
Direct Pay payments are handled on a session or package basis. I accept Venmo, Zelle, Cash, or Check. Details will be provided prior to starting services. Luna PT services are handled entirely through their billing department. Contact the Luna concierge if you are a PT patient through Luna and have a question about insurance or billing.
